The Simply Coaching Summit is the first virtual conference for instructional coaches and teacher leaders! You can sign up for a free pass to watch live or you can purchase an all-access pass for an affordable price to have access to all sessions and content for 6 months.

The lineup is amazing: Joellen Killion, Kathy Perret, Steve Barkley, Angela Watson, Diane Sweeney, and Shelley Burgess are just a few presenters!

My session will focus on coaching tools:

Session Title: Navigating the Coaching Wilderness: Four Tools to Chart Your Path to Success

Session Description: As we coach within our schools and districts, many situations can arise that require careful navigation: (1) How can we enroll teachers in the coaching process? (2) How can we calibrate what type of coaching will best suit a teacher’s specific learning needs, experiences, and available time? (3) How can data coaching empower teachers — rather than leaving them feeling victimized? (4) How can we plan meaningful professional learning experiences on a tight schedule?

Participants will leave this session with tools that will greatly impact the success of their coaching work in these four problem areas. The session will provide links to the tools themselves (which can be used as they are or remixed) as well as detailed explanations about why each tool works well and how it can be used. Participants will be able to put these materials to immediate use! Some tools are especially helpful for coaches who work with multiple content areas or who serve multiple schools.
